me and bikes
Hi I’m Liz and riding bikes has always been a part of my life. Over the years I’ve been a commuter, a London bike messenger, toured countries by bike, raced road, time trials, MTB and cyclocross. Most recently I’ve raced ultra endurance started cycle coaching and become a mtb guide.
I started racing in my 30’s, a bit later than most, but in my second year of road racing I got to category 1, Won Regional championships, podiumed in National Masters Races, started riding national series alongside Pros and raced abroad.
Whilst racing road I started racing for my club but moved onto Sigma Sports women's team and then Team LDN - Brother UK for my final 2 years on the road. I’ve now changed my focus and whilst I’m still on board another women’s road team as a mentor to new riders I’m now racing cyclocross and ultra distance and have many cyclocross race podiums, a league podium and now 2 ultra podium places to my name.
But it's not all about racing and training, I love exploring by bike, finding new cafes and generally being outside. My bike is a fantastic tool to enable all these things.

coaching (and Guiding)
Whilst living In London I was involved in running race training sessions with the coach and manager of Team LDN - Ian Watson. Any women interested in training for fitness, upping their group riding skills or starting racing could drop into these sessions learning skills and finding a community. This ignited a passion to pass on the skills and confidence have learnt whilst training and racing onto others.
I have since moved to Bath and continue to work on building women's communities, have been ride leading for the School of Rocks and volunteer for the Sulis Scorpions Youth and Juniors club. In addition to coaching I also work as a mountain bike guide in the Bath area taking out groups on day and weekend trips.
